DIY Chip Vacuum Video(s)

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

DIY Chip Vacuum Video(s)

Hey all,

This may be of limited value here, but I uploaded to YouTube a compilation of some Instagram posts documenting my August-spanning attempts to build a vacuum setup (mostly focusing on the cutterhead nozzle attachment) for my recently purchased Rek-O-Kut.

I think my final design turned out pretty good! These aren't super-technical videos, it's mostly show & tell. Forgive all my "ums" and "ahs" in the first part... I don't usually turn the camera on myself and, uh, now I remember why.

Anyway, here's the link:

Thanks!
