7" laquers

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

anyone know of another source of 7" laquers other than apollo? i'm very close to getting my first lathe worthy of actually making a decent cut and i'm looking to purchase some blanks soon. i'll definately be using apollo for 10s and 12s but their 7s seem pretty pricey.

any help is appreciated! :)
all the best!

Hey You did a good job in regards to the presto but this guy has also a whole heap of 7" blanks starting at $300 that is for less than $3 each
Here is his listing FYI
http://cgi.ebay.com/Transco-7-Master-Recording-Blanks-NOS-124-discs_W0QQitemZ120429914548QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVintage_Electronics_R2?hash=item1c0a2ea9b4&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12

They have the big hole but that should not be an issue Their are NOS but I am sure you would want a few cheapies to sharpen your skills on initially
Good Luck
Cheers
