[Note.....as of April 14, 2010, problems have been fixed, but we still need to move.]
Phpbbweb.com has clearly gone bad. Web support is non-existent. New users cannot access the site without my hands-on help. When I go to their support forums I am seeing the same complaints among other forum admins.
It looks like I can't even archive the site any more. Thank goodness I made an archive in January.
So! Any recommendations? It's time to put this somewhere trustworthy, even if we need to pay a little bit. I bet that among us we can collect the money to keep this thing going.
Please send any advice you have!

I run my own server that is PHP ready on a half meg upstream connection. I would be willing to host the lathe trolls board.
Please let me know if you want to try to set it up on my server and see how it runs.
FYI, I graduated with a degree in Computer Science in 99. So, I could likely fix the Debug Mode error as well....

The debug error is easy - it is all over the internet, I think the issues is of support or lack of it.
and lack of access to the MySQL tables etc.
I run three PHPBB sites as well and I know it can be a pain - I sure the support is here in the forum Steve..

Server goodies
Hi guys.
I have my own server at godaddy.com and it currently hosts my own sites one of which has PHPBB on it and running. You can see it at www.battlestarvfx.com/forums so it does work. I didn't install it myself, I had someone do that for me as I am not that swift with Php/mysql but its up and been running smooth since christmas.
I would love to host the thing and its no skin off my nose to do so. The server costs me bucks every month but it doubles as my iTunes radio station which has been up for over 11 years now (since before itunes was itunes).
