suggestions on 12" mono DIY cutter

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

suggestions on 12" mono DIY cutter

howdy,

i've been eying old Presto K8 and K10s lately - eventually i'd like to find an old mono all-in-one cutter that can do 33 1/3, 45, and up to a full 12" acetate.

my ideal criteria would be:

- 33 1/3 and 45
- mono
- ideally an old tube model
- 12" discs
- cutter head/etc that aren't completely impossible to replace when they wear out

any suggestions/experiences would be greatly appreciated. cheers!

I would save up and buy a overhead lathe in a box like larger Prestos and Rek O Kuts as you will get a better performance.

This is one I am selling.
