Polycarbonate blanks update

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Polycarbonate blanks update

Hey trolls

Just a heads up, my supplier is now basically making me order a certain amount of blanks at a time so I will not be offering blanks for anyone anymore unless someone wants a large quantity, i.e. a sheet at a time which breaks down to about 42 7"s, 48 10"s or 28 12"s of any one color. Any less than that and I can't do it.

Sucks but that's what they're doing to me which is fine when I order because of the amount of records I make for people but when someone wants like 10 blanks it isn't reasonable because I have to cover the remaining costs.

Sorry for the bad news but I wanted to let you know for future reference.

Thanks guys!
all the best!

A convenient place for me to jump in and ask if anyone in the UK is cutting blank discs from any material?
I need some blanks, I don't want to buy them from outside the UK as there is a place within walking distance of where i live that can make them, although i am very keen to support any trolls that are providing products/ services. Otherwise ...
Anyone requiring discs in the UK give me a shout and we can get some made, the largest laser cutting facility in the UK is 10 miles from me, and they specialise in plastics, £100 min order. That's a lot of discs just for me!
