Melbourne Live to Lacquer recordings/pressing

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

I'm guessing that it is one of you guys on here that did the live to lacquer recordings in Melbourne for Mount Eerie (12") and Little Wings (7") (and probably many others) several years ago. Who was it?

Corduroy Records & Detective Agency made those records. A record manufacturing business with a name like that might not be taken seriously but that's what they were called. All that plant and equipment is now part of Mossy's international vinyl pressing empire.

Hmmm... that's interesting. The Little Wings record was attributed to Art School Dropout (as far as "releasing label") I think.

I'm really interested in Corduroy's whole deal.
