Replacing power cord on 6N Bodine motor

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Anyone know how to replace the power cord on a Bodine?

I received a 6N plinth today with the platter and motor to go with my extra cutting arm and need to put a new cord on the motor.

Any help is appreciated, I did a quick search and came up empty
all the best!

the 4 wires on the actual motor, or the power cord that plugs into the wall?

If it's the latter, lowes as a nice 2 wire replacement cord for $8. I used one, and it works great. Wiring is easy, and I'll help you if you need it..
generally its for reproduction.. but i like to play wif it sometimes.. :P

Got it sorted, presto 6n number three added to the studio now. Just need an amp and a couple other bits and pieces and I'm ready to roll.

I'll post up pics of the resurrection soon
all the best!
