suspension, only a few Hz?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hello everyone
I need to design springs to replace the damping blocks on my turntable's suspension. It looks a bit like this right now:

Knows anyone at around wich frequency I should start? A kind of frequency that matches with every tt, tonearm, cartidge etc.. A friend who has a Thorens Referenz told me he tunes it to 4Hz and works well but I would like to know, at wich frequency are your machines' suspensions tuned to?

Thanks! :D
