Advice on my first buy

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

First off how is everyone doing today!?
Well I'm ready to make my first purchase of a lathe and i need some help from the best in the business.
I'm looking for something higher up the ladder than a presto 6n but nothing over my limit which is about 15'000.
but also keep in mind that I am a beginner :shock:
any help or advice would be appreciated!
