Coming alive-VMS-70, Drive Rack and SP-272 Mastering Console
Well this should keep my busy for a while. After sitting some 18 years, everything is re-capped, all of the trimmer pots replaced. Mastering console is up, quiet and behaving. Still working on the Light Peak Meters and Tyrone 1" Phase Oscilloscope.... but onto the lathe. Helium has become very difficult to obtain here in Chicago. Any tips ??
I am looking for a cutting engineer near Chicago to hire for some test cuts. Hit me up if your in the area and interested. Glad to pay you for your time.

As long as you keep the level and high frequency content down it's no problem cutting without helium. For test cuts it shouldn't be a problem. Helium has gotten very expensive. You can purchase a tank and have it filled at a party supply store but I'd contact a welding gas supplier.

since Todd moved to California, the only cutting room in Chicago I can recall is: http://www.chicagomasteringservice.com/vinyl.html
making lathe cuts on a Presto 6N, HIFI stereo cuts on vinylrecorder
