Wilcox Gay Recordio 6B30 problems

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Wilcox Gay Recordio 6B30 problems

Hi all,
I'm having problems with my Recordio model 6B30. The tubes work, the turntable spins, no hum, but no volume. I tried playing a 78, no sound, I plugged the cartridge 2 pin plug into the mic input, I had to turn up the volume full blast and tone control all the way to the left to even get a small amount of distorted sound. The cartridges (cutter head and playback) were rebuilt by Gib Epling at West-Tech. Gib is my best friend, and he's ultra confused on what could be the matter with my Recordio.
Thank you,
Ryan
