A New Source for Blank Records
Fellow trolls,
Some exciting news to share....
http://www.blanqrecords.com
BLANQ records are laser cut from specialized PETG, a soft material perfect for cutting or embossing audio grooves using a record cutting lathe. Blanqs are softer than PVC or polycarbonate, and thus easier to achieve grooves with low/no surface noise whether you’re cutting with a diamond or embossing with ruby/sapphire.
But don't take my word for it. Order your FREE TESTER PACK by following this (long) link:
C&P: http://blanqrecords.com/cart/29152325075053:1,29152353812589:1?discount=LATHETROLLS
Hyperlink: http://blanqrecords.com/cart/29152325075053:1,29152353812589:1?discount=LATHETROLLS
In addition, we’re pleased to offer:
- Reasonable shipping prices. You’ll only pay for real shipping costs. No hidden fees baked in.
- Fast shipping. We pledge to fulfill your orders within a few days, not several weeks.
- Simple pricing structure. You’ll get the very best price whether you’re buying 5 or 500.
We are located in New York City.

Re: A New Source for Blank Records
Why isn't there contact information on the website? Looks very shady. 1 post on Twitter, 1 post on Insta, and 1 post here. Looks like a good product but I'll pass for the time being.

There is. The page link is at the bottom of the website. But please email hello@blanqrecords.com to get in touch. As for socials, this is a brand new venture so there hasn't been much to talk about just yet.rsimms3 wrote:Why isn't there contact information on the website? Re: A New Source for Blank Records
2 samples in the Tester Pack - a 1mm 7" and a 2mm 7". I'm sure you can understand why we can't send 100 free Blanqs to everyone. As for audio samples, since everyone's baseline is different we thought it was much better to send a couple of freebies to anyone who wanted to try them. Up to you if you choose not to accept our $3 gift!
I hope you will though!

Re: A New Source for Blank Records
I prefer Myshank, in europa is the best. ( in my opinion ) Sample pack only one?
Re: A New Source for Blank Records
Hello again fellow trolls,
Since there seems to be some curiosity about who we actually are, I thought I'd provide a little more info.
My name is Aaron Zimmer. I own Leesta Vall Sound Recordings (leestavall on LT) here in NYC. A new username isn't an attempt to remain anonymous , but rather just an effort to keep my 2 businesses separate.
Questions? Ask away!

Re: A New Source for Blank Records
Hello all!
It's come to my attention that the FREE shipping option for the Tester Pack wasn't coming up for our international friends. That has been corrected.
We have also added USPS Media Mail as a shipping option for even more savings.
Have a great Monday.

I'll give them a try. Thanks!
Also, do you have bulk rates if one was to purchase a stack?

Re: A New Source for Blank Records
So my tester pack arrived yesterday and I had some time to do a test emboss with the 1mm 7". it seemed to work really well!
I am using the tungsten needles found on Ebay mounted inside a Fairchild cutting head and it seems to work really well. I currently have it dialed in for embossing on Polycarbonate and I did not even have to do any adjustments to get it to work with this material.
I did noticed the center hole on the 1mm blank was a little too big causing each test cut to be a little off center when played back on a record player. I am hoping the other 1mm blanks will not have this issue. But on the 2mm blank it was perfect.

Re: A New Source for Blank Records
Thanks for this, I'm so glad they're working for you. A little too much laser strength for the thinner material caused those holes to be a pinch too big. We've already corrected that.Jccc wrote:So my tester pack arrived yesterday and I had some time to do a test emboss with the 1mm 7". it seemed to work really well!....
