Grampian type C - Connecting wires

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

I am rebuilding my lathe and don't remember how to connect the wires back to the cutting head. Can anybody please give me a hint?

Hi Michaela!

Not critical with the type C as it is non feedback.
Just screw back in the 2 wires from the amp into the the 2 terminals at the back of the head (screws from top I think...)
In the perfect universe you want to check the absolute phase of the system, depends on how critical you are...

Hope that helps!
