Webster electric cutterhead

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Anybody have experience with these? I want to say model no. is0043 but it's hard to read. Got it with a Rek o Kut M5. Seems to have a crappy high end performance and a distorted bottom end. Could be my amp, but it sounds fine thru speakers. I've rebuilt a 1-c successfully before so I'm sure I can handle this, but welcome any input.
