Newbie question: Diamond Stylus life lenght?

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

Hi guys! I'm trying to figure out approx the average price when I have learn (will cost more in the beginning hehe).

If I use a Diamond Stylus from Vinylium and mainly cut "pop/rock" that do not have insane bass and buy "vinyl like records" not acetate.

Where would I end up in price approx ?
Say I cut 4 minutes 2 sides seven inches?!

Need to see how much I need to charge for the work + material.

I understand it is impossible to give an 100% answer but at least if I know how long the Diamond stylus use to last I can do some calculating on my own.

Thanks

Ok Here we go
How long is a piece of string? that long or a little longer or shorter
OK
Jokes aside An average Saphire stylus will provide around 20 Hours of cutting life
Now I have had them last around 60 hours or as little as 1/2 hour
There is a post here from someone that confirmed over 200 hours
As a rule you change when you have to assuming that you do not ruin it by yourself
It is a case of the grain in the stone from where it has been cut so sometimes you get a stylus that defies the rules at both ends of the scale
Having said all of that I would have thought that as an average for a diamond you would have to allow around the 100 hours as an average life span over a period of time if course
In other words say over 10 styli
Cheers

There is several diamond quality.
Some stylus will get shorter life because of their quality. Other one is really better.
The best diamond stylus is not for sale at this time, but works really better than the others....
