Long live vinyl!
An excellent news for fans of bolachões, music in general and also for the music industry in Brazil: in Polysom, only factory of vinyl records in Latin America, is resuming activities after 3 year hiatus.
The industry was bought in early 2009 by producers Rafa Ramos and his father John Augustus, Deckdisc owners. Since then, been working and researching a lot to bring vinyl back to the Brazilian reality. Polysom The factory is located in the municipality of Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro.
Completely renovated, the factory now has new machines, upgraded professional expertise and European - all to leave nothing to be desired in comparison to foreign manufacturers.
The blog "Viva Vinyl!" spoke with one of the owners, Rafael Ramos, for more details. Check out some excerpts from the interview:
What to bring to the vinyl than the CD?
Rafa Ramos issues are very chic! Because we know who like vinyl like quality, a beautiful booklet and such.
What are the first orders?
Rafa Ramos From December 2009 to Polysom has received several requests. For example, many titles of several major labels as EMI, Universal and Sony. Independents too. And there are many people doing the budget.
Do you have any orders from outside of Brazil?
Rafa Ramos yes, for now, Argentina and Chile. DJs and bands.
