Press operator required
Job offer: press operator
We are looking for one press operator to be employed in our factory in Settala (MI).
There are no particular required skills because he (or she) will be
trained in the factory. A good knowledge of mechanics is anyway recommended.
The job he/she will have to do is basically to press records with
the Alpha Toolex AD1202 and AD702 auto presses and - when needed - with the manual TCS presses, plus all the related stuff (visual checking, stampers changing, sleeving etc). All his job will be organized and scheduled so he will just have to think about running the machines, check the records, keep the place and the machines clean. The mainteinance and the fixings of the machines are done by another person, so he can learn to do that but that will not be his job.
The salary is the standard local entry-level salary for mechanical industry's workers, and we will provide insurance. We can also help in finding cheap flats in the neigbourhood of the factory.
Also recommended is the driving license; eventually we (specifically ME) can provide a Vespa 50 special for small distance trips.
The offer is first for a 3 months test, then a 1 year contract renewable into a long term contract or whatever.
If anyone interested please PM me.

All received and thanks to all for the interest.
Everyone has got his PM I think.
@ Mossy:
- yeah the entertainment is guaranteed by the people working in the factory. There's a funny forklift driver, and some neapolitan crap in there; then there is a funny man from Naples coming now and then and asking strange questions in a strange language...
- food (for YOU) is EXCLUSIVELY pasta and pizza - no meat and NO BEERS
- your air fare will be paid by a guy I know who fixes lathe in Australia, to compensate something I couldn't get
- off-site entertainment is provided by the signorine near the fires on the Paullese street
- you will get a free stock of ALBERTO VO5 shampoo as yearly benefit
OK maybe only me and Chris and (maybe) Mike will understand this... Sorry

I understand completely hopefully others do as well, oh well some any way
It really sounds like I should be there
So can I please have a start date !!!!!
I will find my way there
I will have the Vespa
I will live in the pallazzino without heating at 0 d or minus 1 C
It sounds like a fine oportunity for an old pressing man
I can say that I would not require on the job training
I can also confidently say that the alphas would be under my total control
We can than extend vinyl to all and sundry at the best quality best turn around and we use the best printers in the whole wide world so as to have the best album artwork just like old times
That would be a great improvement on an already fine achievement at Phonopress since the last 30 odd years
That is my view with all due respect
So have I got a gig or not?
Say yes please!!!!

i'd take job, and i really need it... at first i thought it was in michigan, then i realized it was in italy and deleted my original post, since i dont have a work visa.. I'd take the job if i was offered it, but seeing how i'm in the usa, i feel that its unrealistic.. I hope someone proves me wrong....
