MY45 v1.0

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

Hi everybody!

I just pressed the last record in the MY45 (beta) factory, tomorrow I move the press from beta to v1.0 in the new location.
After alpha- (in Lindau near the lake Bodensee) and beta-stage in centralmunich, I have build a new factory in the near of munich (lower bavaria).
I will (hopefully) have stable steam and cooling water pressure from
now on, to spit out better records then ever

So, many thanks for the support, to all the trolls here and anywhere
else 8)

Hope, to see you at the opening party... :P
some very good beer will be ready and ice cooled for everybody!

Andi

Good luck with your move. Please let us know when the party is happening. I need a break and a trip to Germany would be ideal.

great news Andy, congratulations! :D

by the way, I visited the "Alpha" place in Lindau one week ago for some record shopping - Philipp was kind enough to endure 3 guys digging records for 5 hours straight

Would love to see the "Gamma" place too 8)

my day is like this:
I wake up at appox. 10-11 oclock in the morning,
after a big long breakfast, till appox. 2 oclock pm, I start my computer (Atari 600XL with modem),
this needs some time, I drink a coffee meanwhile.... then I check,
what´s new on the web, lathetrolls, funny pics n videos.... at approx. 5 oclock PM, I start checking mails on my I phone, this takes time, because I am not too familiar with emails on the phone... and the touch display is broken...
I only read the new orders, and send invoices as soon as possible, to receive money also ASAP.
after that, I go to the pub, to drink some beers, till 1-2 in the morning..
then I go to bed..........sometimes I wake up in the night and dream of a running record press......
thats it!

www.mo5.com is a useful address for this type of material.
Sorry, it's in French but there are many specialized ads. :D

Yes Andy, my life is very similar to yours!
The difference is that you drink beers, Augustiner I suppose, while I drink spritzers.
You know, I wake up late in the morning, because the boiler starts immediately! And never a problem.
First I check my emails, orders and invoices, this is an easy and pleasant job, because all customers here pay upfront and even more than what asked!
You don't need to remind them to pay, it's all automatic!
I have a VIC-20 which keeps the database of the overdues etc. - and if I have time, and I always have it, because they all pay in time - I play Radar Rat Race - I have the cartridge ready to go.
After having done this, we start the presses. At 11 AM - there is time. Production is so fast ... Everytime it is a pleasure to see all presses running perfectly, no dips on records, perfectly centered, no stampers to clean ... a dream. I think I will not check the records anymore. There is no need.
And let's do not forget that the presses are fully automatic, so once you start and they go, you can go shopping or whatever, you can be sure to go back and find your perfect pile of records, in spindle, just like the CDs!
It is really fantastic to manufacture vinyl records!
And hey: also in galvanics, all motors are running everyday without any issue, and they are fully automated as well! You don't have to worry about anything: the day after, you will find all your stampers ready to go.
Fantastic!
It is so nice to have discovered, than to manufacture vinyl records is just as easy as to burn CDs!

My day sucks in comparison to Montalbano's and AndyBee's...

...but I did have the oppoprtunity to visit MY45 before the official opening party and was impressed with the set-up and installation - Andy has done a top job.

While I didn't get to see the German steam machine in action we got to talk vinyl for hours and had some great German beer with some great Bavarian hospitality - thank you Andy.

Hey guys I do not envy any of you at ALL as I do exactly the same thing while jet setting
I decided to get an iPad as well so I can do all those things while on the a380 or the Dreamliner or the A330 hoping around the globe
I suggest you give away the C64
Its only just a bit later than the presses we have but not good any more guys
Besides you can watch all the utube clips on pressing records and point your clients who may be waiting for them there so they can feel good about it
Easy breezy
In the mean time I am looking to see where I should invest all this money that is rolling in my bank account from this activity of flogging vaporware to all those labels who are happy to just send the money and wait for these things called vinyl records to roll up for releases promo of the band etc etc
Everyone here should jump on board this gravy train it fantastic money for jam boys and girls
Cheers
Cheers
Chris
