Record Pressing Plant Start up Costs

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

yes, this is possible. you have mainly two sources of heat, the cooling water, problem here is, it is very hot (90-100degrees celsius) at the beginning at the cooling cyle, and then goes
rapidly down to much lower temperatures, which are not so good to recycle. It is possible, that you put another valve in the water return, so you can catch the hot water.
Better source of heat is the condensate return line, mostly always very hot, arround 100degrees celsius. you can put a heat exchanger inside, and connect it then to the heating
system of your house etc. good to have the plant near a castle, which needs a lot of warm water for heating :)

Thanks Andy. I guess even if you caught the 90-100 degree cooling water effectively you still need to get it back up to 180+ for steam ie. lots of energy still needed. I like the idea of heating a castle with the condensate return, lots of castles for sale here in Scotland. Maybe add a sauna in there as well...

Record Products P-50 punch might be an option if they are still making them. We had one custom made by a local company, its not automatic but it works with both trimmed and untrimmed records.
