HD Vinyl Update

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

No affiliation, just sharing and wondering what everyone thinks.

Hi,

Still waiting to hear playback of any cut, even a simple 1Khz 5cm/sec mono signal.

Admittedly I have a vested interest in nickel stampers, but it does seem a bit crazy to me based on this interview (things might have changed though)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYZtTdiltTg

-Designed for pressing 10,000 + records (most orders are under 500 though)
-Won’t be any “HD” sound benefits on a normal existing turntable, would need a HD Vinyl stylus
-Will cost around €1000 per stamper!
-Will take 12 hours to cut one side!

Unless I'm missing something?

Yeah, I'm remaining hopeful, but not holding my breath...
