Cleaning metalwork,mothers and stampers..

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

The traditional lo-tech method is to put the matrice on the turntable of the rinse sink and brush it with a soap solution using a camel hair brush.

The hi-tech method as used by the CD industry is to use a cathodic electro-chemical process to clean the nickel part which is connected to the negative pole (cathode) of a current source and is then immersed in a chemical solution for 30 seconds. Hydrogen bubbles form on the surface of the matrice which supports the chemical cleansing of the matrice. None of the current equipment vendors supply such a device.

I have one for sale if anybody needs to clean metal parts.
