Hello terry
again an open question about the future of the apollo laquers.
i came across this article about banning of harmful plasticizers in europe.

in europe Dibutylphthalate (DBPhthalat) plasticizer agent is banned from 2015 on.And the application for a further use ends in august this year.

sorry the paper is only in german.

do the apollo laquers already contain non-phthalate plasticizer or do we have to expect another hard time
if there are experiments in new formulas...
just wondering if we need to buy at this time of the banning a big stock to bypass a few month until all is safe.
but maybe you already produce it with non-phthalate plasticizer.

would be great to know if we expect a problem or not.

thanks
f.

We do not use Dibutylphthalate (DBPhthalat) plasticizer agent in either Transco or Apollo formulas, and are not planning any reformulations at this time. I cannot say for certain what will be required for us in the future. We follow very strict (California) guidelines in the manufacturing of our products. There will always be a chance that one or more of our raw materials will need to be changed, it has been that way for the last 20 years, but we have second sourced most of the raw materials and have an on call chemist to help with this type of issue if it were to arise.
