MDC laquers

Hallo Cutters
I recived for the first time a box of 14inch MDC japanese laquer this week, still no feedback from the galvanics but I noticed those two points:

There are some irregularity in thickness in the outer diameter , that can be normal...but the silent groove oscillate from 55 to 75 um if I cut at 65 um.

The situation is better for the beginning of the 12inch diameter , the groove is costant, but if I start to cut at 70um I measure at the end of the record 55um ....

Never happened to me with transco,
Mdc seems more artigianal than transco/apollo but this is nothing to do with quality...still courious to listen how they sound, always fashinated by japanese craft...

Have you experience with that?
Thanks to all

Thanks for the answer Herve, how was the pressed record? Did you recut many laquers of the 25 box? Are you still using mdc? I'm waiting for the tests press ...:)
