BURGEONING NEW DISC CUTTING TECHNOLOGY?

Greetings,

In reading about the risks of creating, storing and working with lacquer blanks; and factoring the business-risk of relying on aging equipment, and obsolescence of their consumable parts, I'm wondering if there is any industry chatter (present year 2021) regarding potential new or existing company(ies) that are planning to produce non-lacquer, disc cutting equipment? Cheers.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Sillitoe is so much new technology, as it still uses lacquers. HD vinyl is what I would call new tech in that sense. Is that what you mean?
