Darrell Johnson R.I.P.

I was heartbroken yesterday to find out that Darrell Johnson, of Decca / MCA and JVC Cutting Center, passed away last June. Anyone who knew him will remember a very talented, very warm man with an impressive memory of the business from the mid-'60s on. He cut for Decca, Uni and MCA, was the director of engineering a the JVC center in Los Angeles, and co-founded Precision Lacquer in the late '70s.

I don't mean to be maudlin, but I had to share.
