I believe I answered your email, Dubwise. At the moment, I'm extremely busy doing the work you see me documenting. Once completed, I'll have more time. Either way, I always have time for customers. Just look at the feedback on my mono cutterhead repair thread. https://www.lathetrolls.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6380&p=52119&hilit=mono+cutterhead+repair#p52119 I will support anything I sell to anyone. This is way beyond a DIY project at this point
Below is the latest video. I've now created machining operations for every part, made one of every party, and perfected the processes. I've also learned tricks on how to speed up making perfect blocks for machining parts from. Now, I start making a second round of parts. These will all be perfect and will become the first Mantra V2 Metal Body Professional Feedback Stereo Cuterhead.
Here is the STL file for the passive spindle fan which fits the round top of an ER11 nut. I only use these for roughing operations. I worry that it may add some runout and therefore do not use this on finishing, drilling or profiling operations.
Finally, I'm nearly finished with a Presto 1-D clone. Will be made primarily from printed plastic. Steel armature clone. Spring clones. Damper clones. My awesome coil clones. And, neodymium magnets. Will be more powerful and extended range than the original.

Holy crap! 1-D 3D printed clone? Do you have any idea about pricing points yet? Stereo heads, 1-D clones = excitement.

My new thread for the OPCODE 1-E Mono Cutterhead. The affordable Presto 1-D clone.

Re: Mantra V2 Stereo Feedback Cutterhead
Ahhh.... I was responding to the wrong comment anyway... oops...
I pretty much put things on hold. I created a Presto 1D clone in the interim. I'm now also making a small portable lathe to run the OPCODE 1-E on, as well as Mantra. I've designed and am currently building out a miniature version of the Neumann suspension box which will sit on a custom overhead I've designed. So, order of things will be: suspension build, overhead build, lathe electronics build, armature clones for Presto heads, a bunch of Presto clones, then back to this.
Why? Well, the only way I can afford to continue this work is to fund it by doing other things which actually make money. Selling a bunch of Presto clones and portable lathes will sure help. Check my OPCODE 1-E thread.

Re: Mantra V2 Stereo Feedback Cutterhead
I still plan to come back to this idea in V3. This video breaks down how you can use a diode laser as an interferometer for sub-micron vibration measurement. Specifically amplitude of signal. Which is all we actually care about for feedback. You wouldn't be able to monitor this like you can standard coil based feedback. But, combined with a high speed DSP chip from Microchip.com, this is totally possible and doable.
I think other folks believe that this is their novel concept. It isn't. My original post is dated 09-26-2014.

Facing Mill Tests
A cheap routing mill from home depot used to face a rough aluminum block. Worked very well. But dangerous!
