Adapting an USB Vinyl Cutter with sc-99 or sx-74 ?

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Ok. You know a heck of a lot more about lasers than I do. That's for sure.

I think this would be a curiosity more than anything else. Be neat to have a laser bed of some sort that could take a sheet of Makrolon and cut and etch a bunch of copies of a record at once. Very futuristic.

I've been wondering since the 80's (working @ an IBM laser research facility) when and why a laser would cut records... It's simply due to the progression ov media -that this idea is only resurfacing now, I believe... I've always pictured a CD walkman sized unit, all contained like a soundscriber 200b - or edison voicewriter VSP etc. - for making 45's- and larger home versions like a l-inear recordplayer/lathe...

I do still hope some day that day will come...

If only I were a born billionaire...
