anyone here ever tried diy mono cutting head
to me it appears that with the stereo 45/45 set up means
the geometry needs to be spot on what about mono whats the required
movement of cutter stylus anybody tried.....

Edison used Hill and Dale (up and down). The standard was lateral movement of the stylus for mono.

Using an old computer speaker as a drive coil. I managed to get one successful emboss out of it and quickly abandoned it after I discovered nothing over 1K had printed.
