Stamper thickness

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Is there a standard thickness for stampers? I measured one and it was .01".

Thanks

What happens to stampers as they age? How do they wear out?

Well stampers are made from pure Nickel Who also is a "flexible" Metal... Maybe After 1000 press cycles the Grooves are deformed then... The compound goes from the Label Area to the outside of the stamper. This movement Works also like a grind... Grove dept isnt given then on the pressed record... Backround Noise is the result.
