Norman Field - Home Made 78 RPM Records (emboss/impress)

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

I'm always searching YouTube for new lathe videos and came across this one this week. Excellent video and accompanying website on the adaptation of a MSS "Utility Model" lathe to make 78s on polycarbonate using home made stylus. Great stuff!

Hi, I'm not Norman. I gave it that title because that's the name of his website where the information for the project was located. But, it is a great video!

Really interesting video. Thank you for sharing it. It seems Norman got his set up dialed in and gets excellent levels.
It inspires me to start cutting some records!
