a custom cylinder recorded for someones Christmas present. this is on an original brown wax cylinder, actually a modified stentor dictation cylinder. these cylinders are not seen very often, they are almost beige with a hit of pink in direct light. this one is a bit noisy and dates from the early 1920s. this is an mp3 transfer recorded on this machine and playing through the archivette and a 35" original solid brass horn...

Actually it sounds amazing! I am cylinder collector but I suppose I have never heard a fresh cut cylinder before though.

What an amazing gift!! I have seen those cylinders before but never bought as I didn't have a cutter.
