new polymer recording blank / orange / test 1 & 2

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

a new formulation. each test cylinder is a different color. i can then extrapolate the changes needed to the blank. this is empirical experimentation and to my knowledge has never been done before. there are several people around the world making new Edison recording blanks, but all have concentrated on reproducing the original aluminum soap formula. i wanted something that was easy, efficient and quick to make that works as well, possibly better than an original. i have no doubt i can find a modern material that will work at least as well as an original or modern recording blank for less money and A LOT LESS WORK !!!
