1878 tinfoil phonograph / new 2" copper tape

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

this copper tape just arrived and yielded decent results. copper makes a good distinct recording, not as loud as some of the aluminum i have tried but much less background noise and much longer lasting recordings. if i can find this same tape in 2 1/2" width i will use this for demonstrating the tinfoil phonograph.
