Who can help me with my VR T560 cutterhead?

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Hi Scotty, which black ring do you mean because you only have to fill the tweeter with liquid rubber....

Or do you mean something else?

Greeting,

Marc

No, the outside of the tweeter is normal plastic and there's no rubber ring.

hey Marcy, you may have dimensions of the head in mm? so I can create a 3D image in Vector! with all details!
The pushrod is not connected to the tweeters, only connected through the Cone !!! This is glued to the top of the cone with Loctite.
The hollow cone is filled with silicone, this is correct... 8)

As far as I know, this removes a specific frequency range, but as far as I'm still not to say this with 100% certainty. but I have yet to measure me to be really safe

cheers...

I also ordered these speakers. Thank you for finding it ! I built now 4 heads out of tweeters, they costs all about 20€ to 40€ and got the issues to be a bit differently, althought they are the same type. I know the price makes a part of the soundquality , but I only see my lathe as a test-lathe. Trial and error...
Thank you for finding it !
It seems that Souri doesn't use the "normal" way of creating the mechanic. On the pictures I found no single torque-tube. There are two of them. They are linked to these aluminium rods. The rods got to be elastic to allow the stylusholder to move in the 45/45 directions, or am I wrong ??

the rods are arranged a little offset, thus fulfilling its role as (Torque) I'll call it signal crossroads!

I've already build my diy cutter head with very good result this is what I done

1. Bye car tweeters make sure there are at least 100w

2. You can use standard aluminium angle I 3D printed
My cutter head design

3. Make some small paper cones and make sure they
Fit on the speaker cone then I dipped the cone in lacer
Let it dry for one day

4. Then I super glue or you can use any glue to glue the cone on the speaker cone it's also very important
Not to put too much glue on the cone this will affect
The sound spread the glue thin on the cone then put the dipped cone on the new tweeter cone. Let this dry properly

5. I used size 10 sewing needle and and glued a small brass bead which fitted the vinyl recorder type diamond I got from Steve from my shank perfectly again make sure you let this dry property.

6. Then poke some holes into the cone and glue the sewing needle into the cone make sure it looking lined up.

7. Then you need to glue some more needle on the side to support the structure.let everything dry.

8. Then I painted over the glue with silver paint to hide the glue marks, it now looks like it was welded.

9. Fit you diamond now you can cut.

I'll email some sounds from cutting soon sorry for the writing I know pictures are better but I do t have much time To take pictures and post.

A lot of my research came from this site everything you need to make a day head is here you just need to search for it.

And let's not forget the Heros that made this possible for me to even think to attempt this crazy thing

Thanks to

Mark rob

Please visit marks Comcast site really interested reading and this is where I got the idea from dipping the cones in lacer. Sorry forgot the link to the site.

Where did you get the bead from to fit the diamond into? I thought you needed a tapered hole

Hi

I used brass Beads from the art supplies store

When I fit the Diamond it was a little loose so I got

Some small long nose pliers and squeezed the bead

Until the diamond shank fitted into the bead snugly.

I did not drill any tapered holes.

>The hollow cone is filled with silicone, this is correct...

>3. Make some small paper cones and make sure they
