Cutting on ebonite

I am a newbie here running a scully and cutting laquers, wondered if anyone had experimented with cutting rubber is that possible , I have been asked by a media company to find out if it would be possible to cut audio onto ebonite for playback during an exhibition on this Amazonian material be nice if we could make this happen!

They are seriousbut it is for an exhibition not about to ruin any styli trying just wondered if anyone had tried anything like that I'm very happy cutting laquers.
