Omnitronic DD-3220 - 16 2/6 Half Speed

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Hello,

I installed a switch that half down the platter speed down to 16 2/6 and 22,25. Playback is no problem. But when I emboss at 16 2/6, it comes to an effect, you called "flutter". -> A frequence modulation by speed changes of the platter when cutting. I'm not sure if I can decrease this Problem by installing a heavy wight platter.
Half down the speed means lesser stored kinetic energy in rotating platter.

Can I balance this with more mass ? Or is it wrong way.
