Finally got round to buying a 3d printer back after discovering all the DIYers on here so I've got myself a cutter head design down in cad and ready to be printed. After initially only wanting to build the lathe/motor/moving table parts and suspension box I've thought it may be worth a try building the head after looking more deeply into it and also finding it impossible to get a head to cut my records - It cant be that hard right?

Anyway I'm now up to the torque tube part and really confused...
I see the leaf spring design and the tube but its the piano wire bit that has got me lost - does it have to be used, if so how is it connected to the torque tube?
Are there any diagrams or drawings out there that may help me or point me in the right direction. All the designs i see on the board i cant see the connection between the piano and the tube. Is it basically a tensioner on back end of the leaf spring?
Would really appreciate everyones feedback/input

Pretty nails stuff to learn this considering i've never used a lathe or cutter in my life.
Thanks in advance,
david
