Fairchild motor question (junkstore find)

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Fairchild motor question (junkstore find)

Hi there,

I found a motor at a local thrift/junk store. It seems to have two power inputs, and since it says Fairchild Controls Corperation, I thought it might belong to a record cutter (two inputs>>two speeds, ?)

Anyone know what this might be?

Thanks!

That's not a motor.
Clue is the 20kohm Lin on the back, it is a potentiometer, probably designed for a position servo controller or something.

1% specified linearity, 5% end to end resistance tolerance.
