That's actually a pretty cool idea. He could make polycarbonate records with different patterns on them and do a live p.a. with them using regular turntables and multiple arms like that which hook directly into a DJ mixer. He could make triggers for all sorts of different sounds, bass lines and pads etc.
It's the next wave of edm music.
P.s. If he uses this idea I want a free pair of the overhead playback pieces
