'THE ROUND' a large scale kinetic/sonic installation artwork

I've been working on this collaboration for the last month or so - lucky enough to have been able to show it in the Ōtautahi/Christchurch Art Gallery in New Zealand.

Congratulations on the work of art.

Besides developing record cutting equipment, I also love art and art installations.
(I have made some metal artworks myself and exhibited them on my website www.thomasboldtart.at)
But I've never made artworks this big before. Very inspiring!

I'm working on my first installation piece involving lathe embossing, but I've only had the machine for about two months now so I have to make sure I know how to use the dang thing well enough first!

It's closing up this month.

Lucky enough to have been asked to show the work somewhere else. There were a few malfunctions, I guess those are the things you can't plan on when assembling something in the garage and testing for 30 minutes when it is on display for 10 hours a day 7 days a week!

I'm hoping to rework the armature system, I'm thinking of using some sort of advance-ball, but haven't quite nutted it out yet!
