This thread will be used to specifically showcase the work we (Bladud Flies!) are achieving with the new generation of My Shank pressed blanks Official UK Distributor of My Shank Products. We have been using these blanks exclusively on 12” since they were released in July 2024. And now that 7” is available, we will be using them exclusively too.
The primary purpose of this thread is to show by example that these blanks (a) last considerably longer than '20-40 discs’ or ‘less than 100 plates', and that (b) they are not injection moulded PET and should not be confused with the ones released briefly last year.
We are now routinely getting 150+ hours from a stylus using these blanks, and there is no reason why you can’t too.
All of the projects that will be showcased here were cut using My Shank or Souri styli. We do not use or recommend any other manufacturers styli
We will look to update this regularly, perhaps every fortnight or so.

If our styli only lasted ’20-40 discs’ then on this job alone we would have cruised through 2.5 to 5 styli!! That would be an utterly ridiculous situation and wholly unsustainable.
