My First Cut Release

Here is mine:
Moribund - Silent Lambs 6" Flexi

Image

Moribund is my harsh power electronics project. I also record under spit+smudge and sometime in the future with my sludge/stoner/doom project Great Unwashed Masses. Anyway, I also run sirkut electronics building effects and synthesizers/noise generators for the noise public. Old website still up but will be changed to the new domain when I get a chance.

Now, what am I looking at here? Is this cut into a Solo plate, or is this a pressed Evatone run? The lock hole tells me you probably cut it yourself, but...how?

Solo trick, two blue "sheets", one transparency printing the artwork sandwiched in the midde, Super 77 spray adhesive to hold it all together. DIY Pic Disc. Next trick I've been thinking about is using spray lacquer to make the writing part easier on the next batch.

I didn't like the CLEAR solo plates for cutting. The shiny ones seemed to screech more as I cut 'em. I had my best luck with the dull side of the purple "signature" plates.

Did you use a Recordette to do that? I'm guessing because of the extra hole in the record. So what type of lathe cut this record?

It looks awesome!
