Semar choice 😁✌️
Hello my new lathecut trolls friends!
Perhaps nothing new for you, but music is my passion, i love sharing it, lathe cutting is my new one, i'll do the same
So here's the start of my homemade lathe!
To start i've buy an old French turntable as support
The torque was supposed to be very high, after some test, it is not...
Not a problem, i've just rectified the shape of the "disc plate? Sorry for my English", and i'll just use the turntable for this, the plate is very silent, the system is a tub wich posed on a bearing ball, floating in oil
I will add a stepper motor with a controller for the plate rotation
I've removed the belt and the plate is turning very lsoftly and a very long time
Hope someone will find interest here
Thanks to all one who have shared their projects and experiences that i've followed and read

There is 2 month ago, i've bought 2 monacor spx 21m for a stereo cuthead
But now and after a few hours of reading your different experiences, i've decided to start with a mono head, embossing, cutting if possible and after stereo embossing and in a few times stereo cutting
I think build something like the design bellow (saw here) with one of the drivers i bought
Your advices are welcome

Ah, a Barthe Rotofluid Disco 2 from the 80s. Rare but robust metal housing if I remember correctly. Nice of you to be enthusiastic and start this post. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Thomas
