Any one seen this before?

Just got a new synthetic diamond shank and this happened. ( see picture )

first track cut fine then all of a sudden the swarf started to be chopped and not come out in one continious string but in bits and began to make a real mess on the blank. when played back it doesnt lock into the groove at all and skips past the whole song. ( First track plays amazing ).

Anyone seen this before?

I have done severel test cuts now and sometimes it cuts perfectly then out of no where it happens again. I find it weird how it can go back to perfect cutting and sounding amazing then slip back into this.
ive been cutting for a year now and have had no problems with my set up or sound. only thing that has changed is ive put a new diamond on

Any help would be amazing.
