t560 MAIN UNIT ISSUE

Hello folks.

Little time lurker, new 560 user.

Has anyone had issues out of the box with the main unit not powering the motor for the 560?
I have green light on the main unit, but the motor switch (& stylus heat light) are unresponsive.
Intermediary fuses between main unit and cutterhead are fine.
I am competent enough with a meter to open the unit but I don't want to open a brand new box looking for a cold-soldier that might have gotten messed up in shipping, without talking to Souri first, especially if I am just missing something simple.

Can you hear the motor at all? Just wondering if it could be something simple like the locking nut on the end of the feedscrew is loose which will mean the motor doesn’t turn the feedscrew.

The stylus heating light doesn’t come on unless overloading, however the motor light will illuminate when switched on

Found the issue. Thanks Spinnertown, appreciate your transparency and guidance in the community and look forward to supporting your business.

After tugging around a bit out of confusion, I realized that the mains leading to the motor unit must have gotten broken by a shift in shipping, but the were still looking normal because they were still lodged in the silicone of the motor. obvious clean break. I'll redo the connection today.

Fixed & working.

For others that might have this issue in the future : if this break occurs there is a very small amount of room to re-attach the 12 gauge cables to the motor (and it is a very large gauge wire to try and solder in a small space) the motor connections heat up much quicker than the wire. Our workaround was multiple smaller gauge wires connecting to the motor (as an extender) and then attaching the 12 gauge wires to the extension and heat shrinking everything. If anyone needs photos of the process, feel free to send me a DM.

This is great info, you should make a new thread with photos showing how you did it, it will be really helpful for the community
