Hello -- I am a newbie, long time lurker, first time lathe owner. I recently purchased an Audex R-56, 8 ohm cutting head. I am putting together a fairly simple set up: computer (music source and EQ) > power amp > cutting head. I don't have a lot of money to spend (due to a new child lol), but would like something that would work ok to help get my feet wet with cutting. Could I use a car amp? I want to make sure I don't wreck my head or anything. I'd appreciate any thoughts and ideas! thanks!
