SCAM: Rek-o-kut Challenger Lathe Presto Cutter

This is a rare Rek o Kut Challenger record lathe in working condition. It has idlers for 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. The 33 1/3 idler was just redone by Terry at Terry's rubber rollers. The platter has a new removable sorbothane mat. Cuts well at 33 1/3 rpm. I have actually cut a master on this machine (I am an audio engineer). The cutter head is in good working condition and has a new lightly used Transco Ruby stylus ready to cut. I will also include my usb microscope for checking grooves. I have also experimented with stylus heating and chip suction, if you want to go that way.

If anyone sees my post here and knows what the scam is, could you fill me in? This is at least the third time that this post has popped up in my search results, and every time I see it I wonder what the problem is. I have a very similar lathe, so I’d really like to know if there’s some kind of common scam associated with them. I know that’s probably not the case, but my mind goes where it will..
