I have a fairly rare Presto lathe for sale, the MLC12SP. These were originally sold in pairs in the late 30s and early 40s with a 89A (I think) amplifier. The units were geared inside out and outside in, for continuous recording. This unit has the 5 pin plug which worked with the 89A. It is mounted with a 5C recorder which is good, but the pickup measures open. It's too heavy to play lacquers or plastic discs with however. The turntable runs at 33 RPM and the drive puck is newly refurbished. This unit is geared inside out, but an outside in gear and feedscrew could easily be machined. They're similar to a Rek-O-Kut, where the vertical drive gear that meets the turntable worm is attached to the end of the feedscrew. The machine cuts a nice, even groove. Last time I used the head it sounded fine; not sure if you want to cut hot dance records with it, but this was intended originally for direct microphone recordings just like the Presto K series. This is a good machine to learn basics with and also cut some nice records. For sale to the best offer over $500.
