Got a 1C and D . Still would like it for a Spare . Cant ever have too many of a good thing . Still learning but i've heard some good sounds come out of a 1D that were warm and big . Of course i'm talking dance/techno sounds which are different .

Yep I have been trying to bid - but can not as I am in the EU - ebay is blocking me.
Happy to learn something new.
Wanted: Stylus for Presto, Mono heads Grampian, Fairchild, Presto, Fairchild 740 lathes, Presto 8n, 8d 8dg lathes or parts or Presto or wot ever recording Amps, PM me what you have for sale.

I'm going to bid on this too - if won, it'll currently be my best cutterhead...

[edit] ...and my bid wasn't high enough... yup, looks like it's still gonna be cheaper to buy the remaining metalworking tools I need to make my own tweeter-driven mono lateral cutterhead (with probably equal response to the 1D, after figuring in inertia of larger home-machined needle chuck)...

PS, looks like the auction's been modified to allow international bids

Wow, more than twice what I bid... congrats to the seller.

That's about what I paid 2 years ago for a complete Rek-O-Kut mid-50s Challenger lathe, complete with amp, cutterhead, 3 different pitches of feedscrews, and stylii.
