Hey trolls, I am moving house and will not have a workshop, so I'll likely never get around to finishing this.
Have a look at the pictures and see if you'd like to take it on. I don't want any money for this, just looking for a good home.
Here's what you get:

* Very robustly made aluminum plinth and arm on ball bearing.
* Mounted precision locking microscope stages for precise positioning and adjustment of cutting head.
* Cutting head is built, tested, and seems to have plenty of power for accurate cutting. Carbon fiber push rods. RCA connection.
* High quality CNC stage with stepper motor - not sure if this will need to be switched out for a direct drive, but stepper resolution can be set really fine, so may work OK.
* Power supply, Arduino board and stepper driver PCB - tested and working fine.
* A few 10" vinyl cutting blanks.
* A couple of brand new cutting stylii.
* Small box of other parts that may be useful, including R/C car suspension parts intended to be used as dashpots for the cutting arm.

What needs doing:

* Dashpot solution needs to be figured out and implemented.
* Arduino needs setting up and programming.
* Turntable needs to be added and set up.
